Most commercial engines (at least, the ones that matters) offer some full featured free version. They are oriented towards productivity.
Free engines rarely allow developers to be as productive. They often have limitations.

Have you ever tried Urho3D?
ReplyDeleteYes. Looked good at the beginning, but soon you find that it is rather limited. They dont even have terrain editing tools.
